(one idea I could certainly write better to) in case you're waiting for replies on another story continue this one.

I feel weird writing around the life of a man.. so I'm putting a boy and girl. if you are a boy.. write from his point of view. If you are a girl. write from the girls.

Two backstories.. ooooo snap.

It was a country, ravaged with grief and taken hostage by the leadership of Edwin Marshall. Elaina sat at her window, watching the troops march through the streets and dreamt of what she could do if she was in contact with others. Her dream was to start a rebellion. Lead a group of organized traitors to the government. Ah.. she thought.. the government was a hoax. Here to ruin it's people. Here in the future of 2076, times were harder than ever, and water scarce.. Something a common necessity.. now hardly a drop clean enough to drink was cheaper than wine and not served to the troops of Edwin Marshall before giving any to the town people.

Okaru was tired. Oh... so very tired. He shoveled more coal into the furnace he was assigned to and bit his lip as he felt the chain around his ankle chafe again. Curse all this... curse his enslavement. He was young, and sick of this. In truth, he was rebellious. He wanted a way to get away from this terrible life and start over again.

Elaine was suddenly alerted by a pounding on her front door downstairs. She jumped up all to soon to hear ruckus and commotion downstairs. "Elites..." she whispered to herself. Elaine then shuddered as she heard the scream of her father and she jumped and started to run out of her room to him. She was caught by her mother and pulled back into her room. "Your father is taken Elaine! They're here for all of us!" her mother was in tears. Footsteps up the stairs pulled them both out of thought. "Hide Elaine!" at that Elaine slipped under the bed and the soldiers burst into the room with their rifles. She saw her mothers feet back up, "We've done nothing! Leave us alone! Scum!" No mother! Why'd you say th- Elaine had enough time to see her mother fall to the ground after being hit by the butt of a rifle. Her mother stared at her and whispered "run!" Elaine, hesitant to leave her mother, stayed put. Then the two soldiers picked her mother up and she screamed "RUN ELAINE NOW!" At this, Elaine jumped out from under the bed and fled from the room, hearing only one soldier trailing behind her. One must've stayed behind to keep her mother. As she got to the top of the steps, he grabbed her hair as she screamed out. "Let go!" She turned around and pushed him away, consequently pushing herself backwards down the steps. After a bunch of serious bangs and thuds she landed at the bottom, with only a second to regain herself as she heard him running down the steps. Elaine jumped up quicker than she ever thought she could and was soon in the streets. Before running out into wide open space she turned down an alleyway that led to a big building on the edge of town, smoke billowed from the pipes on it's roof. She then heard the man behind her and ran along the building until she rounded the corner of it and found a bunch of piles of boxes and unneeded commodities. At this, she jumped behind a pile of boxes and covered her mouth, hoping he wouldn't hear her heavy breathing as she tried to calm herself... and her athsma.
