The Legend of Atlantis

"Just checking." Orca fell silent. Unable to think about what to do now, or what to talk about.

Odessa jumped up onto the ship and sat on the railing, unable to think of what to do either. "I guess I'll have to like you for now so I don't hate this entire voyage of yours." she crossed her arms, watching him.

"Sounds good enough." Orca walked into his cabin and waved.

Odessa watched Orca enter his cabin and shut the door. Groaning she turned back to the town. "Orca!!!" someone shouted with rage and her eyes trailed to a group of navy men with their guns pointed at her. The one in front she instantly recognized as Commodore Jameson. "Fuck." she said quietly. "Uh... He's not home!"
Jameson walked closer to the ship, "Odessa don't play games with me. I'm taking you in and he's fired!" Odessa turned her head seeing his ship in port. Brand new, big, fast for sure, The Odyssey
Odessa gasped dramatically, "Jameson! I'm so greatful you were thinking of me when you got your ship!" The commodore snorted. Odessa clapped her hands together, "Oh, but, I am a cooperative captive of his. He's just doing his job!" At this, Jameson laughed. "I know you all too well Odessa and you don't just bend over for someone like that." Odessa glared at him, growling she whipped out her pistol and shot a guard next to him. Another guard returned fire, shooting her in the forearm. "Ahh!" she grabbed her arm.
Jameson hit the man on the head, "She needs to be alive you dimwit!" The commodore moved towards the ramp and Odessa ran as fast as she could holding her arm and pushed the ramp painfully off the ship, letting it fall into the water.
"Odessa, you know better..." he said slyly.
She laughed, "Yes. You're right, I almost forgot." Odessa took her pistol once more and aimed it at him, hitting him in the forearm. "You damn bitch! You'll pay for that!"
Odessa ran and cut the ropes tied to the dock with her sword and had the crew pull the anchor. "Yes, James, perhaps, but not anytime soon." she watched him run away to his ship, holding his arm.
"Shit... Men! We gotta move!"

Orca sidled out. "That was poor conduct Odessa... I could have spoken with him." He sighed and rubbed his temples. "If this gets out I wont be able to pull any more strings for us, or for Derak and Maple. I need to be able to have some control or I'm not sure what the Navy will do next and will have no authority to stop it." He looked over at the other ship. "That's a nice ship...Odyssey is it? I may have to go speak with Jameson yet." He waved for the crew to stop their work and they waited. It didnt take long for Jameson to arrive, in a sling already.
"Commodore Orca, you have a wanted pirate captain on your ship!"
"Nice to see you too Jameson, and yes, as you can see, I'm not blind to the pirates on my ship."
"Pirates?! There are more?"
"Half of this crew is pirates right now Jameson, as is the truce I have agreed to get them to port because their ship had been destroyed by a mistake on my part."
"A mistake!?! When have you ever called anything you did to pirates a mistake?!" Jameson was clearly outraged.
"Calm down James. I had no crew and they had no ship, it seemed only fair."
"FAIR!?" Jameson hollered. "How can pirates be fair?!"
"You'd be surprised, Odessa here does bend to the right words..." Orca winked to Odessa and smirked a little.
"Be that as it may, she shot and killed one of my guards and then wounded me."
"Be that as it may, I assume you provoked her like you provoke everyone and someone retaliated which got her that gun wound to the arm I see. We must tend to that quickly Odessa, get the first aid kit from my cabin and fix yourself up, as for you Jameson, I just say you got what you deserved by angering a pirate in my employ."
"EMPLOY?" bellowed Jameson, livid.
"My sir... are you deaf?" Orca called back, positively reveling in this fun, his paw raised behind him incase he wanted to signal the cannons.

"I don't care about my fucking arm, Orca!" she watched Jameson closely. "That... man.. needs to suffer."
Odessa pulled her pistol again and ran forward.

Orca reached his hand forward nonchalantly and caught Odessa by the hair to pull her back. "Don't, or you will violate our bargain and I will be forced to kill you." He winked to her as he was looking at her with his back to Jameson. "Do not be wreck less."

Odessa acted frustrated and sat down sternly on the railing on the edge of the ship. "Fine."

Orca smiled to Jameson. "No harm done okay? I just have to take them to the next Navy port where I can get more troops, then they'll be off my ship. Savvy?"
Jameson narrowed his eyes and sighed. "Well, seeing as how we're the same rank I have no choice but to accept your judgment. But be warned Odessa, when you leave his ship, you will not be under his protection any longer, and I will pay you back for this arm."

Odessa waved her hand over the water, "ooohhh keep all hands and feet inside the ship at all times to stay under protection." she laughed an evil laugh and turned to Orca. "We leaving now? I sort of cut the ropes and stuff..."

"Yeah, I suppose. I mean your shinanigans have given us time to repair the ship." He put his arm out. "Corpacus then?"

Odessa watched the sea. "Corpacus..." she looked at him. "Why do you have to make things easier then they could be? That's no fun."

"Well shall we hit Tortuga on the way or do you want to get there before Derak and Maple, which includes their romping around in bed all the way there." Orca commented lightly. "It's up to you."

She turned to him. "Tortuga?" Odessa got up and looked at her arm. "What's there?"

"Sin. The best kind, and a bit of action. Oh you know, the pirate port."

"I never bothered to go there. Heard it was too rambunctious and I didn't want my crew getting involved." She held her arm up to him. "Do you have... needle and thread? And some alcohol?" she paused. "Not to drink of course."

"What? Pirate medicine? Rubbish, I'll do it, unless you dont like revealing your bare forearm to men. I've got sterilized thread and rubbing alcohol in my cabin." Orca walked over and opened the door for her.

Odessa said quietly in a high pitched girly voice. "Oh no! it's a trap!" and laughed as she walked in.

Orca laughed and squeezed her rear as she walked in. "I havent heard that voice in a while."

Odessa turned around quickly. "That's not very gentlemen-like. You're supposed to be a navy commander." she stared at him.

Orca shrugged and closed the door. "Do I have to be gentlemanly to a piratess?" He bowed comicly and went to his dresser and pulled out a medical bag. "There's a chair by the desk, and please reveal the wound."

Odessa double took her shirt and saw it was worn. She saw a rip in her sleeve and decided to just pull off the sleeve, ripping it all the way around at the elbow. Throwing it at him, she shrugged. "There. This is quite revealing. Look at this elbow!" she pointed comically, blood running down her arm onto his floor. She put a hand over it and winced. "Sorry..."

"There's been plenty of my blood spilled on this floor, it wont mind sharing with a bit of yours." He was tempted to go on but he ignored it and pulled out the alcohol and a needle and thread. "Right, stick out your arm and lets get to work, did the bullet make it's way through or is it still in there?"

"I was preoccupied with hate and I didn't check, sir." she held her arm out for him to look at.

"Well good, it went through." Orca held out Odessa's arm and took the rubbing alcohol and dripped a little onto a cotton swap, moving it along both the entrance and the exit hole of the bullet.
