(Okay I thought it would be nice to finally get down a good backstory for one each of our finest characters. Whether it be from DT or YC or anywhere inbetween. I just want to see how we've been doing.)

Oh, and a collab rp might be really awesome.

Name: Hiero Takeda.

Oh god where do I start.

I guess the beginning is always good.

Hiero was born... roughly in the middle of the 18th century in feudal Japan. The only name he ever knew was Runt when he was young. He would never be able to tell you anything about his parents because they died in a raid when he was one year old or so. Taken away with the band of raiders he was a slave for them for the next eight years of his life, learning to hate the evils that his masters did to others. When he was only ten years old the entire band of raiders was wiped out, including all the other slaves that he had gotten to know. It was then that he met an old tiger who watched his compassion for others from afar. Because, even though he hated them, he gave each and every member of the people he was forced to travel with a proper burial.
The old tiger's name was Miro, and he took Hiero under his wing. Giving him a proper name for the first time in his life. And this time, he was a different type of master. He was Hiero's master in swordsmanship. Learning to weild a sword for the good of the people was a hard task, which took a whole nine years to achieve full mastery. When Hiero made his way back down the mountain, he was a grown male fox ready for battle. His katana was self crafted and perfect for him, and he felt that he should help protect what was sacred in the country, signing up for the shogunate army. For there was a war only a year into between the shogunate and the democratics(Rebels who wanted a new government.)
Hiero demonstrated refined and pronowned skill with a blade because of his intensive training half his life. In a matter of weeks he had risen to become one of the ten captains of the Shinsengumi, an elite group of samurai who fought in the name of the Shogun.
The next year was a blur of battles. The war was gruesome and bloody. And for Hiero, shorter than others.
The winter that year, Hiero was escorting one of the high dignitaries across a frozen mountain range. They were set apon by Ishin Shishi bandits, (The rebel elite samurai)and Hiero was caught in an avalanche, which broke the surface of a lake at the bottom of the mountain they were traversing, plunging him to the bottom and the snow around him froze him instantly.
He stayed at the bottom of that lake... for 200 years.

(Now at this point, there's a tangent that his soul went to the realm of the gods and that he loved some goddess. Another one got jealous and sent his soul back 200 years later when he was dug up and cursed the goddess to walk the world as well. But that was a YC storyline that I dont remember at all. And either way his memory was erased so it didnt matter yet.)

Hiero was dug up by a team of scientists who found a faint heat signature at the bottom of the lake. After several more years of testing, they finally thawed him out and he awoke again. Trapped in an adult sized test tube, he was about to live a life of being prodded and poked forever because of his miraculous ability to stay alive through all that. To even him it was impossible to fathom. But he had to get out.

In that instant a voice spoke to him. A voice saying that it could save him from his future by giving him a different one more apt to his abilities. Well not in those words but promising the same. Hiero didnt even think, he agreed whole heartedly and he vanished from the lab.

Hiero arrived in what appeared to be a greek temple, completely polished marble and blank everything. The sky was white, the floor was white, the space was white. It was amazing and baffling. He had arrived at the beginning of time, or so the voice told him as he walked closer. It was then that the samurai came face to face with Fate herself. A beautiful goddess who had saved him from a life of torture.
It was then that he became a time traveler, a chronomancer, an Emissary of Fate. He would travel through time, keeping the course on task as he recieved missions from Fate. She would monitor the time stream and send him to fluctuations to keep time in check. He went to many places, saw the world in so many times, and witnessed the rise and fall of empires.

In a sense. Hiero became a god himself. The power he held was incredible, and he was learning new ways to use it every day.
After another year of his life had passed, he had met many people in his common time, reconstructed a perfect home for himself, and had a few lovers to boot. But all of that paled in comparison to his next discovery.
In a bout between him and someone he considered a friend, a power unlocked inside him and he was able to use magic for the first time in his life. He overcame his bloodline to become a kitsune, a magical fox of the old times. New abilities dawned on him every day, giving him the power to jump through dimensions, heal others, and control the elements.

(Around this time is when he traveled to the DT world and lost his memory, becoming a dragon and helping the heroes destroy the demons and all that. Kyle's rendition is better.)

After that it was basicly just taking others through time and saving the world, but one thing always stayed constant. Whenever he was in one place for too long, terrible consiquences fell on those he was around.

Oh, another part of that plot from earlier with the gods and stuff I actually kept. Was the battle between Hiero and Fate. Basicly Fate tricked Hiero into going back to the mortal world, and his lover came down to find him. And in the end Hiero went to the Temple of Fate to confront her, killing her and establishing his sword spirit as the new Fate. Kote has been watching over time ever since.

Oh! And the sword spirit! Hiero once went back to ancient rome for no reason and met a girl, she was beautiful and even though they had never met, she knew all about him. When he finally asked, she smiled and faded into nothing, but her voice was in his head. She was the spirit of his sword. Kotetsu, or Kote for short.

Hiero's fought the Seraph demons and saved the world a couple times. One of his most troublesome adventures was the one where he gained the ability to turn into a naga. It was all because of a potion that his friend Sombra made him test, making him slowly break out in scales for the next month. But on the plus side, it gave him angel wings for whenever he felt like flying without time travel.

Hmm... Hiero has encountered one of his past friends several times throughout the time stream. Her name was Talyn. Back when she was Talon in the DT dimension and became a girl he loved, then she was trapped in a rift that he discovered, and then again in the future! It was like their destinies were intertwined, but at the same time he could never be around too much or she would be in terrible danger.

Hiero has trained junior Emisaries before, seeking those capable of handling all of space and time in their hands and being able to keep it controled in their minds.

Name: Derak Strider

Age: 22

Species: Dragon

Sex: Male

Description: 6'4, medium to large build, scales consist of stripe like patterns of blue and black, blue eyes, and has wings.

Bio: The time and place of Derak's birth is shrouded in mystery, some argue that he never even existed. However, the truth of his origins lie here. Born in a long forgotten age where demons terrorized their land, Derak was taken away from his family at a young age by his own father, Marcus Strider, to be protected and trained for the war's ahead. Taken to the snowy mountains of Kawast, he was raised in a hidden cave which led deep underground. From the time he could walk, Derak was trained to fight. Learning skills that he could only aquire from his own father, a powerful warrior in his own right, Derak slowly learned that he was a power within him that very few in the world did. Years slowly went by, and Derak went from a baby to a young child, learning to fight and kill, to which he didnt understand why or the nature of it. Only that he was meant to do what he needed in order to survive. One night, on his 7th birthday, Derak was fast asleep in his room when a series of loud crashes and yells awoke him. Running to the source of them, Derak looked in shock and fear as he saw his own father on the ground, murdered. The one who had commited the deed was the Demon King, a powerful warlord bent on the destruction of their world. Remembering what he was taught, Derak foolish charged the Demon King, only to be smacked aside effortlessly. However, instead of killing Derak with ease, the Demon King decided it would ammuse his own arrogant self to let the young boy freeze to death in the mountains. Leaving him with his murdered father, Derak sobbed in grief. However, knowing he couldnt stay there, Derak quickly dragged his father outside and buried him. Now, alone in the world, Derak began to wonder the forzen mountains. As he traveled, his emotions grew too much for him to control. He was alone, with no one. So Derak did what any child would do, he created his own friend. An imaginary being known as Traven. However, a mere day after Derak left, a vicious storm blew though the mountain. Becoming too much for him, Derak quickly fell victom to the freezing tempertures. But, luckily for him, this was not his end. He was rescued by a white wolf by the name of Nateu, who took Derak to his hidden village. Here, Derak spent the next 11 years of his life. Nateu quickly saw the potintial in Derak and asked of his family. Once learning of who he was, Nateu quickly took him under his wing, continuing his training. As the years went by, Derak grew from a young boy to a young adult, his skills much more harnessed, and his skill with a blade exceeding some of even the greatest master's Nateu had even witness. He was amazed at Derak's will to continue even when his body wouldnt allow him too. The boy never gave up and pushed himself to the brink of death at times. Unknown to Nateu however, the source of his will was the memory of his father being murdered. Rage poured into Derak's mind as he grew. He would accidently even injured his sparring parents, seeing them as the Demon King he long to kill. Yet, another problem grew within Derak that would not surface for many years. Traven, the imaginary friend he had created as a young boy, soon become Derak himself, an alter ego. Traven hated the world for what it was, and wanted nothing more to destroy it for ripping the life he couldve lived from him. As said before though, that wouldnt surface for many years. At the age of 18, Derak's fear grew once again as the news that the demon army had located Nateu's village and was on their was to destroy it. Refusing to flee, Derak stood with the village and fought a bloody battle to protect it. However, the might of the demon army proved too much for them and they had to quickly retreat, leaving the village to burn and wither away. Luckily however, the battle of more of a diversion in order to let the villager's escape. Soon after, Nateu broke the news that the demons had not come for the village at all, but for him. The Demon King had learned of his survival and his training. He was beginning to fear Derak. This angered Derak that it was his fault that innocent people were killed. Having to make a hard decision, Derak parted ways from the village and began to wonder the land, training as he did so. Time once again crept by, and Derak found himself more frustrated then ever. Hate was soon the only thing that filled his heart. Times came where he would even hurt innocent people in blind anger, thinking they knew something he wanted. Two more years went by, he was was 20 years old. On a cold rainly day, Derak returned to the village where he grew up at. The foundation was burnt but still in place. As he walked though, a voice met his ear. As he turned to face it, he saw a demon by the name of Shinji...from there, you all know where the story goes. However, what happens at the end is where this continues. Derak, having been trapped by his own alter ego Traven, was render helpless. His friends, Hiro, Talyn, and Liz, fought for him. A battle raged on between them and Traven. Soon, they were able to defeat him, freeing Derak from himself and once and for all ending the pain and torment that he had created within himself so long ago. Knowing deep down that the war could already be lost, Derak decided to quit fighting and settled down, the war would not be won by his hand and he knew that. He would take what time he had left to spend with ones he came to care about.

~ What I believe to have happened shortly after ~

Within that year, the demons had fallen into chaos. With no Demon King, they began to fight amongst themselves to choose a new leader. By the time they had chosen one however, it was too late. By their own hand, the demons had ravaged their own ranks to the point of no return. Sensing this weakness, the entire lands resistence banded togather and wiped out the demons once and for all. Now all that remained were small pockets of demons that they hunted down over time.

~ Now back to Derak ~

During the final days of the war, Derak had settled down with his love Liz in his own cabin, hidden in the woods (weither they ever got married and had a kid is up to Liz). One day, Derak made his way to the ocean alone, only bringing his sword along. Standing atop of a cliff looking over the water, Derak slowly tossed his sword down into the depths of the sea. To him, it was the last piece of him he needed to let go. The sword had saved his save, and it was a powerful weapon at that. It contained all of his memories during his life, memories he felt that were better left forgotten. To him, he had found the peace he had longed for at last....or so he thought.

Months later, a group of soldiers and villagers had learned of Derak's location and set out to burn kill him, believing that he had betrayed the land when it was Traven. Hearing the news of the price on his head, Derak was forced to relocate his family. It wasnt long though before he realized that no matter where he ran...no matter where he hid, he would always be hunted and would only put the one's he loved in danger...

....He had to make a decision....

(Once again, thats enough for now. More to come, basically this is just the tip of the iceberg. I know im getting carried away for a simple background story, but tis too much fun Very Happy)

My turn!

Name: Maple Suramon

I think only Kyle doesnt really know who Maple is, maybe Raxi neither but whatever.

Maple was originally a fruit bat, living in eastern Europe some 400 years ago. She had a family, spoke the language, walked the walk and talked the talk. Originally she was going to die like everyone else and live a long and happy life, ascending to heaven to meet her family in the afterlife. But that plan kinda got boned when she was 17. For that was the year that she chose to work for the lord of their little town, a wise old bat who lived in the castle at the top of the valley and had once saved her life from feral rabid wolves in the forest. Anyway, she moved in and became a maid for the lord for a couple months before things got... complicated, she was raped and bitten, drained of all her blood. She would have been dead under normal circumstances but the Lord wanted her to be his servant. He buried her out in the graveyard and waited patiently inside the safety of his castle while she changed. She became a vampire bat and reemerged starving for blood. To her the next day was a blur, but to everyone else, it was named the Night of Red Rain. Driven crazy by bloodlust, Maple killed half the town that night, including her family. The lord was the only one who excepted her when she was almost killed the next day for what she had done. He tricked her into trusting him again, forgetting what had happened between then only two nights before because he told her to. The lord was her master now, and he had a servant, an immortal servant to do his bidding as a vampire. For twenty years she lived as his unaging servant. Her mind growing stronger every year. After twenty years she finally remembered why she became a vampire, and enacted her revenge. She killed him when they left the castle, her mind free, but her powers strong enough that she didnt loose them when she killed him. Maple thought about killing herself... but the thought of spending eternity in hell for suicide and then being a vampire meant instant entrance into hell anyway.
So for the next 400 years she had adventures trying to control her vampiric tendencies. Building an Inn in the middle of a meadow, and starting a family with an asshole. She broke up with him after her children died because of his stupidity.

After than I dont really think anything else happened, except she became a very powerful Earth Mage, creating many styles of attacks based on the very undeveloped magic. Summoning giant rock golems to destroy her enemies with their many levels of summoning spells. Then teleportation, and even being able to heal others with her magic.
