The Legend of Atlantis

"Stop calling me Kid and I'll stop callin you Oddi." He smirked a little. "Or do I have to get out the handcuffs?" Orca pulled Odessa in and wrapped the blanket around the both of them.

Odessa pulled away, "Orca, it's not going to be this easy." she frowned and a sudden depression came over her eyes. "In the end it won't be this easy."

Orca sighed and sat back. "I know." He slowly stood up and grabbed his crutch, walking over to steer the ship. "I just wish you didnt have to leave that day, this may have all been different."

Odessa looked down at her necklace, glowing in the moonlight. "I didn't leave, Orca you know I'd never do that to you." she walked to the edge of the ship and punched her fist into the railing on the side, "It started with Marsh. I hate him for this!" Odessa straightened up and regained her composure. She was not one to lose track of her emotions. For her, it was breaking her barrier and she wouldn't let that happen.

"Aye. I hated Marsh for making you leave, and I hated him for laughing so blatantly at my desires to find my sister. It's because he knew wasnt it?" Orca turned to Odessa. "He must have known, somehow, he knew exactly what was happening, and he had already declared a successor so he didnt need to fight back."

Odessa looked down at her feet, unable to meet his eyes. "I'm sorry."

Orca walked over to Odessa and picked up her chin, looking into her eyes. "It's not your fault Oddi..."

Odessa turned her head away and backed away slightly. She wanted to savor his touch so badly but could not for her fear of losing him after all this was over. She could only think about how much she wished she could change and how much she longed for them to be close again yet Odessa couldn't bear the thought of losing him. "Thankyou."

"It's fine." Orca went back to steering the ship and looked out at the stars. "We'll be at port in the morning, you should go get some sleep."

Odessa walked over to Orca and pulled his hand off the wheel sternly. "Listen here, kid. I just slept plenty, you've been out here the whole time now go to bed before I throw your ass in bed." she smiled and handed him his crutch that he'd leaned on the railing. "goodnight, commodore."

Derak smirked. " Well, glad to be of service..." joked Derak

"I'm half inclined to see what would happen if I refused." Orca shrugged and gave Odessa a quick hug. "Good night Oddi." He slowly hobbled off, looking strangely like House as he went off to bed.

"I think that service will be more routine from both of us soon." Maple kissed Derak gently and smiled. "So, shall we head off?"

Odessa frowned again and sat by the wheel, drained of hope and happiness all at once. When they reached town tomorrow she was really hoping to boost her spirits, perhaps buy something new or meet someone new. Once this was all over she needed something to look forward to. For the next couple of hours she sat in the silence that drowned the night air and steered the ship.

Orca sat up for a while and thought hard. He had to choose, and he needed to do it fast. If only he knew what to look for, when to react and how far to go, but he couldnt, the opposite sex didnt have a manual and he knew it. If only he had his sister here, she would have known these kinds of feelings by now.
He rolled over, and thought no more.

Odessa saw a ship, flames burning and slowly she sank, down into the depths as all her crew screamed for her help she could do nothing she could only sit and wa- "No!" Odessa jumped up out of her sleep, almost to a standing position. She looked around, the deck empty thank god and then turned to the wheel. "Oh crap." she had hoped that they hadn't gone too far off course when she turned and saw land ahead. She smiled and turned to knock on Orca's door. She knocked once and sang a bit of "I'm Henry VIII I am!" and knocked again. "Land ahead!"

Orca roused fairly quickly and smiled as he pulled on his clothes and walked out with merely a limp today. "Where are we exactly?"

She looked around and patted him on the shoulder, a joking face on. "I'm.. not really sure."

"What do you mean you're not sure?" Orca looked a little worried. "What happened?"

Derak nodded. " Alright then...*turns to the crew* Alright you bunch low life's! Set sail! We are moving out! I want to see movement! " yelled Derak who waved his pistol for all to see. The crew instantly got to work. It wasnt long before they made there way towards the others.

"I.. don't know, kid." she paused. "Let's just get on land and get us some supplies. Hopefully it's a place of good people..." Odessa walked away from him.

"To Corpacus then..." Maple looked off into the distance and drew a look of apprehension.

"It doesnt take an alchemist to know that you;re consciously avoiding me Odessa. Mind telling me why?" Orca turned to look at Odessa, his arms folded.

Odessa pretended to think hard for a moment and smiled at him, "Nope."

Derak walked to the side of the ship and looked out to the sea. " You know, this thing between you and I is going to be difficult...I mean, we are pirates after all. " said Derak as he turned around with a smile. " How do I know I can trust you? " teased Derak
