Raine looked at the ruins. "And what are those then?"

"The ruins of Agormantha. The lost civilization." Kote announced. "The location is hidden away in this desert and no mortal has ever been able to find it."

"Hmm." Raine started walking away. "I guess we should leave then. We won't find anything" she laughed.

"Oh shut up." Kote pushed open the gates and stepped into the cavern. "Are you coming or not?" He turned around as his eyes glowed bright red, his demon sight much stronger than pathetic Samuel's, they would have no need for fire on this trip.

~Reya had been a silent shadow more so out of contemplation of brighter thoughts for the first time in her life, than because of her continuing inner struggle. she watched all stoicly simply reveling in being alive for the time~

Sam looked up at Reya and smirked. "Do you think we're all part of a prophecy? Like it was fated for you to find us and join us because we were going to do something incredibly stupid?" He smirked as he kept walking, laughing a little to himself. "Rubbish."

Raine followed glaring at him, and tapped him on the shoulder, shocking him like a taser. "Don't tell me to shutup."

"Hush." Kote jumped a bit as he got tasered and shot a fireball under Raine's feet, hopefully giving her a good hot foot as he walked down the stairs to the ancient city, the door shutting behind them.

"I swear to God, Kote. Don't bother me." Raine turned and watched the door close behind them and turned back following him. "Do you know what you're doing?"

"Like I'm being paid for it." Kote smirked and shrugged as he jumped over a step that had a different pattern then the rest. "Dont step on the ones with diamonds on them, it releases boulders to follow us down, and they dont like waiting."

"hard to say really, its possible i guess" ~She replies honestly unsure how to answer~

Raine followed in Kote's path, missing every odd step of the bunch. Reaching the bottom and sighing.

"Feeling the pain?" Kote smirked. "Turn left here." He said as he turned and walked down the hallway, stepping out to a great hallway of columns, moving down until he reached the great seal of the dead city, he looked down and smiled. "Excellent... Meditate here for a bit, I have to check something." He said as he disappeared into the shadows.

Sam nodded. "It would make sense, to put and end to something so mountainous, usually there's a few predictions or oracles that spout the stuff to the world several decades before it actually happens."

"though i highly doubted they expected me" ~she replies with a wry laugh. once again her dark humor was showing through, her skepticism of ever being accepted here even by them would never be totaly curable~

Sam looked up and sighed. "We're all happy you're here. I'm glad you didnt... you know." He looked back the way they came and then back up at Reya. "Naomi and Traven saved you from a group of people about to kill you. And I helped you through a bit of inner turmoil. We all want you alive, and we're glad you're a part of the team."

"Kote-" Raine looked around, unable to see where he'd disappeared to. She sighed and wandered, not wanting to sit still in a place asking for discovery. She swore she saw movements in the shadows but brushed it off and thought it was nerves.

A serpent slithered over and looked up at Raine, seeming curious about why there was a big creature there infront of it.

Kote pulled out the keychain from his pocket and turned it over in his hand, walking over to the back wall, then slid it into the matching inscription in the wall. Suddenly the seal Raine was standing on began turning, sliding down into the ground, a staircase forming on the sides.

"of course" ~she concedes though her mood remains dour.~ "every now and then things catch up with me, i guess no matter how i try the thought that only my fur color and not my heart are what people judge me by in this surface world...and in the underdark.....well its the other way around. as for your question about the terrain of my homeland...though i pray we never need go there....if we do...you'll see...its beyond words to describe it."

"Reya... we could dye your fur if it helped. You'd have normal brown fur or something and I doubt those who didnt look too close would notice anything strange about you..." Sam suggested. "Naomi did it before when we had to hide from the Demon Lord the last time this happened. She became a panther for a few weeks till we could get out of the area."

Raine watched the snake for a moment before the ground beneath her shook and she fell to the floor. Jolted by what happened she stood up as the part she stood on sank into the ground.. "Uh... Kote! where are you?"

"Dye my fur? i suppose that could work....would it be possible to magically change my eye color as well?" ~she asks perking up at the suggestion, it was hard to think that she had never thought of that.~ "though my hair....i'll be sad to part with its color as well....perhaps that just may work...and it would save us potential trouble in towns as well as cities..... Yeah that could work!"

A hand grasped hers and Kote smiled. "Let's see where that keychain will lead us, I'm so glad I solved it so quickly." He laughed a little as the snake slithered up his leg and around his arm. "Hello again Malakai." he said kindly to snake. "Raine this is Malakai, he's the guardian of this city."

Sam shrugged. "I've learned to tame my eyes occasionally." He demonstrated as his eyes flashed green then blue then orange again. "It's just something to learn. And I think your hair color could stay... is it that unnatural? But if you want to dye your fur, ask Naomi and she'll show you how." He smiled, glad he could help her.

Raine jumped as Kote spoke. She watched the snake and smiled. "City?"

"Yes. The city." Kote waved his hands about and Malakai hissed a little as he sank down and reformed into a lizard, wearing a cloak and a cloth around his waist, he bowed low and smiled.
"You finally conquered the cube then Kote?"
"Sadly it took longer than I wanted, happily after the first level the others became simpler to think about."
"I knew you'd be the one to solve it." Malakai smiled and turned as the circle landed, he beckoned for them to follow him down the hallway.

"ahh but you forget i have no demon in me, i am truly mortal...if a bit longer lived than surface dwellers....i can not change my eyes." ~she replies~
