"Then dont worry about it. If your fur is dyed, you wont look nearly as suspicious as before. Just dont stare at people or maintain eye contact with anyone, they'll be too thick to suspect anything." Sam smiled. "I've done that before and it worked easily enough."

Raine double took as the snake changed. She looked at Kote questioningly then followed.

"Yes I have been here before. Malakai is a shapeshifter." Kote explained quickly as they made their way down the new hallway, empty torch brackets on either side of them as they reached a circular room and at the center... Kote ran forward when Malakai gave him the okay. It was the key. The Key of Twilight was in Kote's hands. It felt... unreal, it was bright red and the size of the greatsword he had just given up, it looked like one too, and yet it looked like a poleaxe as well, the symbol for the key the head of the weapon as he held it by the end and swung it easily. "Oh yeah..."

"What is... What are you... What's going on?" Raine almost yelled, frustrated that no one had told her anything.

"i could try i guess...but as for my hair....i'd rather dye it to be safe as well.... ughh...i dont even know how im going to look....i've never thought of dying myself before....is it possible to make my stomach fur white? purple would be kinda clashing with the coloring of my surface kin...."

Kote laughed and smiled as he raised the Key in her direction. "The Key of Twilight, Raine dont you see? It's a weapon! A weapon to kill the Demon Lord!" He laughed louder and Malakai walked over and smirked as well.
"I will be joining you now Kote, seeing as how my guardian job is now complete."
"Sounds reasonable." Kote shook hands with Malakai. "Well, we'd best get going to the other side of the city, Raine here needs to learn how to draw her own energy."
"Right, this way then." Malakai turned and headed off back to the seal chamber.

Sam shrugged. "I'm sure anything's possible. Why? Do you think white would look good? I'm sure Naomi's got some bleach for that."

Raine sighed, still frustrated and followed.

Malakai led them to a chamber about an hour's walk from where they had come from, the Key strapped to Kote's back now. The room had a chair at the center and Malakai clapped his hands, luminescent orbs glowed from above them and the chair had wires connecting it to terminals that roared into life. "Miss Raine, if you would sit in the chair, we'll begin."

"Raine looked up at the orbs and down at the chair. Without moving she spoke. "This doesn't look like a good idea to me..."

"Malakai used it on me when I needed help coping with the sun, basicly, it gives you the strength to sustain just about anything, and, it restores your ability to maintain your own level of energy, so you dont have to leech it from others anymore." Kote explained slowly. "It's safe."

Raine watched Kote. "So I won't be a vampire anymore? Minus the fact that I'll have fangs?" she stepped up to the chair and sat down hesitantly.

"Sam in my opinion the more....well...according to most surface folk...Normal i look, the better....im...just....well too embarrassed to ask naomi....can you ask her for me?" ~she says with a blush~

"Sure." Sam smiles as he walks back over to Naomi and smiles. "Naomi, Reya wants to dye her fur so that she wont attract so much attention, will you help her with that? You have past experience after all."

Kote shrugged. "If you want to put it like that yes. Now, throw the switch Malakai!"
Malakai sighed and pulled the lever, a strange sensation ran through Raine's body, power fluctuations and a small tingling sensation behind her fingertips. She was being pumped full of replenishing energy.

Raine closed her fists and any lose small objects around her began to float upwards. "Are you sure this isn't to much?" Raine gasped and the ground shook once and a crack formed in front of the chair. "oops."

"Just meditate it under control, you showed me you were capable before." Kote walked over and smiled.

Raine gasped again as the crack moved up the wall. "Yes... but I never had the pure energy. Not this much anyways.."

Kote looked a little nervous and sighed as Malakai walked over, then put his hand on Raine's forehead, a small circle appeared and the energy inside her instantly dissipated. "I'll release the seal when we're back in the desert so you can tame your new powers."

Naomi lit up. "Oh sure!" She looked up at Reya and giggled. "Trust me, it's really easy, and a load of fun, it's a good thing we're gonna pass a hot spring soon, we'll do it then." She smiled and patted her pack. "I keep the stuff safe just incase I have to use it again."

Rained sighed heavily as the extra power she had left her. Feeling average once more was quite aggravating after having so much power at once. "Okay."

Malakai walked off and Kote pulled her out of the chair. "We'd better get outside then. I cant wait to see what you can do with unlimited power at your fingertips Raine."

Raine watched him. "Why do you care so much? And why does it matter? You just want to kill th..." Raine cut herself off and pondered for a moment, looking away from Kote.

~her blush hidden by her dark fur Reya nods politely. Even though it was through deception at least she would no longer be rejected for her fur color.~ "perhaps this will even help to hide me from lloth....though i doubt such simple deception would work."

"Kill who?" Kote looked a little curious.

Raine glared at him. "The demon lord of course." she walked away from him. "Are you going to tell me what's going on?"

Naomi giggled more, reading Reya's reaction perfectly. "Dont worry, I know the right enchantments to make even your mind secure. You wont be up all night afraid to sleep ever again." She smiled gently, giving Reya the strange feeling that she seemed to always know just about everything that was happening. They soon arrived at a small path diverting into the woods. "Here it is!" She smiled as she skipped down it. "There's a natural hot spring at the end, and dont worry." She looked over at Sam and Traven and whispered in Reya's ear. "There's a lot of rocks around it, so there wont be any spying. That, and I can sense the earth to tell where the guys are."
