"I like the sound of that." Maple took his paw and smiled as she waved back to Odessa. "Have fun with Orca!"

Odessa grumbled to herself. "Right, if you say so." she growled and sat watching the ship pull away, sighing.

"Oh to be that happy..." Orca sighed and slowly walked over to the helm. "What direction are we headed then?" he asked Odessa, not exactly meeting her eyes.

Derak lead Maple to his cabin. " See ya all there...."

Odessa kept her eyes on the seas as she answered, "You're still the commodore of this ship." She got up and walked past him down to her quarters.

"You're the one who knows the coordinates Odessa, or did you forget how I haven't been there yet?" Orca laughed a little and looked back at her, trying to keep the mood positive.

She stopped walking and turned back to him. At the moment she met his eyes her toughness softened and she looked at him for a moment before straightening her shoulders and mantaining the captaineske persona. "I believe you had a lead on it... Corpacus" she glared at him and walked away.

"Really?" Orca looked shocked. "But I've been there before..." he shrugged and turned the wheel heading east instead of north like he was.

Odessa sat on her bed and pulled the talisman out of her shirt. "Goddamned soulkeepers. Why..." she looked at the talisman and tried to remove it from her neck without success. She'd done it many a times before without luck but Odessa sat struggling with it for a good two minutes before giving up again. "You ruined my future. And his. You ruined OUR future." Odessa yanked so hard on the chain it left a mark on the back of her neck. There she stopped, and put it back under her shirt. She flipped onto the bed and still couldn't bring herself to sleep.

Orca brushed his forehead, thinking about Ayna, and Kira standing next to him, and Odessa and how they all ended in A and had pretty names. All he knew was that in order to have two, he would have to give one up, and it was hard to decide, let alone even think about it.

After an hour of thought, thoughts about nothing and everything all at once, Odessa emerged from the room and silently walked up on deck, watching Orca quietly. Such a choice that she'd already made and now she'd have to pay the price for it.

Orca winced as his leg throbbed again and looked down to see that the bloodstain wasnt growing anymore. He looked out on the horizon again and sighed.

Odessa saw him look at his leg and walked over quietly, behind him she paused and took a breath. "I'm sorry about your leg." She made another dramatic pause. "And your nose, and your face, and your ship, and you crew." Odessa held back a laugh and looked over the seas. "And your sister."

"You blame yourself for too much. Tho you forgot to apologize for all those wooden slivers that sank into me after the gallows exploded when you escaped." Orca laughed a little and smiled. "If anything, the biggest one isnt your fault, you didnt take my sister."

Odessa looked back to him. "Maple shot that cannon, but I forgot to say sorry about your eyes too." They're so enchanting "I only blame myself for the things i've done." She pointed to the scratch on his cheek and the bandage on his leg. "Those are proof."

"What's to apologize about my eyes?" Orca looked into her eyes and shrugged. "I still have both and they're fine, but as for the flesh wounds, they'll heal no problem."

"I still poked them roughly," Odessa laughed at the sight of the memory. "Yea... You really wanted to kill me." she turned away once more, sighing. "I could've never brought myself to do that." Odessa turned back to him and looked intently into his eyes, "You should know I could've killed you a long time ago. Plenty of times I've had the opportunity and I never have."

"I thought you were afraid... I knew I left myself open. I wanted you to stop me, to do anything, but you always ran, and I always chased you. Looks like I finally caught up huh?" Orca smiled a little as he went to sit against the side rail and propped up his leg.

Odessa laughed. "Me? Afraid?" she turned her head sharply to the side. "Captain Odessa shows no fear, kid."

"Oddi, dont call me kid." Orca looked up and waved it away. "And there were a couple times you were scared."

"Only when I believed you were really going to kill me... Don't call me Oddi, kid. We aren't friends again just yet." Odessa tilted her head a little and watched him closely, wishing she could read his mind.

"Sure Oddi, sure." Orca sat back and closed his eyes, the wind playing across his face gently as he smiled to himself.

She sighed, "You aren't going to stop that are you?" Odessa sat near him on the railing and laughed. "What's the next obstacle?"

"Dunno, you're the navigator." Orca smiled again as he opened one eye a little.

"Fine," Odessa jumped up from the railing and ran to the wheel, the sailor bowing out. She grabbed the wheel and flung it all the way to the side, turning the ship abruptly. "I say we go to town first, fix things and get ready, hit the coast, get recruits, whatever we need. Then we shall head back on our course, first mate." She laughed an evil quiet laugh and held the wheel to the side.
