The Legend of Atlantis

"Oh I was thinking something more... arabian." Maple giggled a little as she stood before him.

" Arabian eh? You've perked my interest..." teased derak

She smirked. "Then that's what I'll do captain."

Odessa looked at Orca for a minute before giving in and reaching for his hand. "Fine..." she smiled to herself.

Orca pulled Odessa inside and closed the door behind them, moving over to stroke her sides gently. "If I really will hate you soon, then let me love you now."

Odessa choked back a cry of mental pain and turned to face him. "I'm sorry I love you."

"Why are you sorry?" Orca gripped her tighter, not wanting her to break away and become stony again, he had finally broken through/

"I'm..." Odessa paused and suddenly jumped forward and kissed him. "I'm fine."

Orca blushed and held the kiss, pulling her close and rubbing her sides gently he tried to eliminate the posibility that she was troubled by this.

Odessa pulled herself closer yet

(rofl) Orca deepened the kiss, holding her tight and wagging his tail gently, never wanting this closeness to end.

" CAPTIAN! "

Derak slowly opened his eyes apon hearing the shout. ^ Great....now what is it?^ he thought as he slowly and carefully got out of bed, trying not to wake Maple. He put his cloths back on and walked out of the cabin. " This better be good....whats the issue? " asked Derak, clearly annoyed.

" We have the Devestator in view captian! " said the crew member.

Derak looked past him to see the small black dot out in the sea. " You sure its them? " asked Derak

" Positive sir! "

" Then maintain course...."

Maple rolled over gently and giggled a little in her sleep, enjoying the memory dreams she was having.

Odessa pulled away and smiled, leaning on his shoulder. "I'm sorry we went our separate ways. If this choice had been mine-" she trailed off and lost herself in thought. About how things would be so much different now. The future she worried about wouldn't be so bad. She would have nothing to worry about.

Orca thought about it too, if Odessa had stayed, if his sister had been safe. "I would have joined Damien's pirate crew if my sister hadnt vanished. If you hadnt left that day... I would have joined the next, my affairs were in order, I was packing when my sister screamed. It's funny how close it had all come to being so utterly different."

"Ship coming up fast!" someone called from outside.

Odessa let go of the embrace and ran out of the cabin to the upper deck. "It's them." she smiled.

Orca walked out and waved, not seeing Maple but seeing Derak. "Ahoy there you big prick! How's the misses?"

Derak grunted. " Me the prick? From what I recall your the one who stole my previous ship and stabbed me in the shoulder....and Maple is fine, she's sleeping right now. " He called out

Odessa laughed and turned to Orca, "He has a great many points about you, kid." she patted him on the back.

"Yep." Orca waved his hand. "Slow the boat so that they can meet us and we may travel together!"

"Aww damn." Odessa laughed. Walking back to her quarters she laid down and slept, for lack of anything better to do.

Derak raised a hand and his boat slowed down to about the same speed as The Devestator. " There...now how far is our destination? " asked Derak

"Another day. Corpacus... it's been a while since I've been there. Another night I think, we'll reach it by... I'd like to say noon tomorrow." Orca declared as he threw a rope over to the other ship. "If you want, you could tail us and we could all take shifts at the helm of this ship tonight."

Odessa woke up screaming about a half hour later and sat up pulling the necklace out of her shirt. She looked at it questioningly and unbuttoned her shirt. Looking in the mirror, she saw a burn mark, the shape and designs of the necklace on her chest. "Oh God..."

"Well this is a surprise..." Orca said, he had been sitting in the room and watched her unbutton her shirt. "Is the necklace angry it's about to loose a soul? Or are we just too close?"
