New Rising

Kote looked over and smirked. "Raine, I'm so glad you're here, I would have never thought to look at the rocks under the moat. It's more of the prophecy! Excellent." He leaned over and began to decipher it. "This will take a little, some of the runes are worn."

Raine's sense of smell was perked by something new around them. "Doesn't smell lizard-like." she tapped Kote on the back, while looking around. "How long do you think it will take the Demon Lord to find you out?"

"Not too long, I'm sure they'll send Terranos after us soon. But if anything he's stupid, and we'll be able to stop him. If they send everyone, then well, we'll have to fight them off." Kote shrugged and picked up some of the rocks. "THese ones are the ones that have changed, we should head back to the other temple, or to that forest so I can have time to decode them."

Raine shrugged and held her hand out to Kote, "I kinda have to follow you around so wherever you're going."

"Aye." Kote then vanished and they reappeared in the muggy rainforest, Malakai still in snake form. "I still need more time though, so meditate for a while."

Raine sighed and sat indian style, floating 3 feet above the ground. Concentrating on her energies. Raine smiled with her eyes closed as she realized she could tell where every moving lifeform was nearby because of the shifts in gravity in that area. Gravity seemed like such a powerful thing to host. Add to that, darkness and lightening and you have a much more powerful combination of magics. Raine giggled a little bit and drifted off once more.

Kote sat there, making a small pipe appear and blowing bubbles out of it as Malakai meditated as well, he had other reasons for it of course, but it was still very important to him. Kote tried to remember what a specific rune meant and sighed. "Some of these runes... I've never seen them before..."

Raine opened her eyes and leaned over Kote's shoulder. Laughing she spoke. "Of course not, don't you see the style? It's not even the same writings. Someone's tried to cover something up." she sighed. "Looks like you have double the translating to do."

Kote smacked his forehead. "Bloody hell you're right! It's a different set over top..." He took out a piece of paper and began writing down the lines in the work that had been changed, then slowly started eliminating the runes overtop.

~Her breaths ragged and weak from exhaustion and blood loss the dragoness fights to keep her katana's leveled and at ready, but inevitably as each second ticked the points of the blades fell downward. to come to rest on the blood soaked earth.~ "my name is Talyn....talyn..sha-------" ~She falls to the ground, her tired body finally giving in to the darkness of exhaustion.~

"Sam....should we kill her now? She could be dangerous if she is a foe....she fought me blind, and wounded me. its strange though, her cut could have easily been reveresed for the killing blow...she let me live. Though why i do not know."

"It's because she realized we were either trying to help her, or she saw you as a normal fox and didnt want to kill you, she saw me and thought I was a demon, like most do. But I believe she didnt want to kill any mortals. So we should patch her up and see if she'll be good enough to talk in the morning." Sam groaned a little as he sat up, sheathing his great sword and smirking. "Ah... it's good to have my old power back."

~Reya nods her agreement and falls silent~ "Lets get working then, it would not be a very good sign of faith to let her die here would it?"

"Yes. I'll wake Naomi, I dont want to bother Luna anymore and Naomi has always been able to heal stuff like this." Sam walked over to Naomi and gently shook her awake. "Naomi neechan... we need your assistance."

Naomi rose grogilly and looked about. "Yeah..." She nearly kissed Sam but caught herself when she saw who it was, then stood up and brushed herself off. "Oh dear... we seem to have yet another wounded person in our mist. Well, I'll do what I can, I picked up a bit from Luna." She sat down next to the unconscious dragonness and pulled out her first aid kit, beginning to clean the wounds and pull out bandages and splints. "She's broken a wing, and a leg."

~Reya watches as Naomi goes to work, She idly ties one of the last few strips from her piwafwi and ties off her shallow belly wound.~

~the dragoness moans softly in her sleep, the pain of her wounds seeping through the blackness~

Sam sat back down and sighed. "Well, yet another exciting night on the road. I miss being a soldier, nothing ever happened when I was actually getting paid for it."

Naomi tied down the bandages smoothly and drew from the earth as she leaned forward. "Nymph's Kiss." she whispered as she kissed the dragonness' forehead. Her wounds slowly beginning to heal from the simple energy of the earth. It wouldnt take much for her to heal, but it would kill a few potential flowers and grass that would grown around this campfire. "That should do it, the bleeding has stopped, she just needs rest."

"Well i certainly dont miss being back home, not anymore. so i wonder who exactly she is, twin katanas...such an interesting duel wield...." ~Reya says softly.~ "Her movements were perfect though, each move completely complimenting the last...its as if she was trained by Zaknafein...."

"And that name... Talyn wasnt it? I've certainly never heard a name like it." Sam said softly, whispering so as not to wake the others as he stoked the fire. "She must be from very far away. Yet at the same time... I feel as if I know her... do you feel that?"

Naomi looked up. "As a matter of fact... I kinda feel the same way. Her name was Talyn? Strange, I recognise that name... but I cant place it, nor have I ever heard a name like it before." She sat back and leaned against Sam's side, resting her head on his shoulder. "Sam... sometimes, I think you push yourself too hard. Cant you sleep?"

"I know i can not know her, but yet i too feel as if she is familliar to me." ~Reya replies shaking her head in confusion~ "She does not sleep well i see" ~She says as the dragoness groans softly and shivers wrack her body~

"Naomi... you know I cant sleep. I havent been able to since the accident." Sam spoke softly. "It's strange how we all seem to have a connection with a complete stranger, I cant wait to hear her story."

"Yeah I know... still, you do show the wear of never sleeping sometimes." Naomi remarked. "As for the dragoness, her wounds are healing painlessly, I think she's having a foul dream right now, or something of the sort. It is not of my doing."

"Thats what worries me...did you hear her laugh as the demons cut into her? It was...almost insane as if she welcomed death...i cant immagine what could do that to a person...and yet...i can. because i was the same way before i met you."

"Well... maybe we can help her out of it. As I said, I cant wait to hear what she's got to say for calling me a demon and trying to kill us." Sam grunted a little as he nuzzled into Naomi. "Care to join us?" he laughed a little.
