What's he pulling now? "I don't have a... brother..." Raine stood up. "Did I meet you before you killed my parents?"

"that sounds good, do you wish me to cover myself? it would prevent trouble"

Sam looked up. "You can use my cloak." he offered. "It's sturdy with a hood."

Kote shook his head. "No I'm talking about your unborn brother, you mean you didnt know your parents had another on the way?" He cackled.

Raine got up in a flash, growling still, and jumped on Kote, tackling him to the ground. Holding him by the throat she hissed, "You miserable low-life! You took everything from me!" her grip tightened.

Kote smirked and held Raine by the hips. "Not everything Raine. Or at least... not yet." he grinned and licked his lips.

Raine jumped off him as quickly as she had tackled him, watching him with anger. She backed away, "I'm not allowing you to corrupt my emotions like this..." she looked away from him, trying not to blush and still trying not to kill him at the same time.

Kote sat up and brushed some of his hair out of his face as he looked over at her. "You wouldnt have said that to Sam if he said something along those lines." He sat there and waited for her reaction.

"What do you WANT! Just let me leave already!" Raine drew a blade and chucked it at him, hitting him in the leg.

Kote yelled in pain and clutched his leg, wincing as he pulled the blade out and stuck it in the ground. "I want you to become hard, and stop becoming so terribly emotional over every little detail. That, and I want to show you how to sustain your full power without the medallion or blood."

"Oh so you're mister nice guy all of the sudden." Raine laughed mockingly. "I think you were hard first..." she turned back to him angry again. "And of my brother? Is that true? Or was that just to test my anger?"

"Course I was, still am." Kote chuckled. "As for your brother. No, I lied to get you angry again. I have to get your blood pumping or you simply just wont act. You stagnant girl. If you learned to project better. Maybe Sam wouldnt think you hated him still."

~Reya nods~ "Perhaps i'll also pick up a cloak of my own in town. though im not sure how well i'll be able to hide my identity" ~she replies she could sense that sams mood had turned dark and she planned on asking him when the made camp next.~

Raine perked up, her eyes shining. "He really thinks that? I want to go back..." She didn't want Sam to think that. But she gave second thoughts about being in the large group, not quite liking the idea. "Fine... Let's train." Raine walked over and grabbed her other blade while pulling the remaining off her back. She maintained a readied position and nodded to Kote.

Sam nodded and kept walking, now getting a sense of danger that was not his own.

Kote rolled his eyes and held his katana, still sheathed, and waiting. "Now you're ready? Your fighting must be linked with your sex drive, all I have to do is mention Samuel and you're all determined again."

~Growing uneasy in the silence reya found herself afraid of being alone again though she could feel sam's body underneath her. in her blinded state it was easy to feel back in the underdark again~ "Sam....is everything ok?" ~She asks more than a slightly nervous twinge to her voice~

Sam started, had Reya already noticed? Had he been so transparent? He whispered a little. "I dont want everyone feeling down, but I'm worried about Raine, you know, the vampire girl. Not only do I think she hates me for putting her in a coma when my demon form took me over, but I think she might be dead. She's been gone so long, and she was so weak as it was. I dunno... I almost hope Kote did find her." He sighed. "I'm sorry I'm telling you this, you probably have your own problems to deal with."

"Or maybe I'd just like to get this over with." Raine charged him again, avoiding using her magic and sliced his arm while running past.

Kote shrugged and grinned as he flipped up and hit her with the butt of his sword in the small of the back.

"no its alright...my problem right now is minor....do you want tot try and find her? i'll help you as best i can, though i can not see right now, im used to utter darkness and i can navigate well by sound...im kind of ashamed to admit it but i kinda enjoyed being carried....i guess im also kind of ashamed to admit...that i lied...this last time i took up my solitary watch of the sunrise.....it was the worst yet....never before did it make my eyes bleed.....but im also....well....shy of magic and afraid that such a spell would impair my abilities....i'll blindfold myself by day if we must travel, but my time i guess will forever be the night....as much as i wished i could adapt to the surface i guess i never will"

Sam nodded slowly, lifting his hands and slowly weaving a dark shield he had designed for when his skin burned the first year, he placed it over Reya in silence and sighed. "It's too late to search for Raine now, she's three hours away, let alone how far she could have gotten by now. I just hope she's okay."

Raine gasped and spun, hitting Kote in the face with her blade once more. "Ah.. the face again."

~She nods and rests against him~ "alright i understand. so we are to head to the plains then? whats out there? i've never heard of such a place..... even this forest...its amazing.....i never knew things could grow like this!"

"The sun provides the warmth and the light for plants to grow, the plains are where trees do not grow, but in their place are tall grasses that flow in the wide breeze, there's no shade though." Sam smiled a little.

Kote cursed and simply unblocked some parameters, slicing deep into Raine's foot as she passed.

Raine spun again, ignoring her foot and stepped around to the back of Kote. She lunged forward and stabbed him in the back, holding him against her. "Quite the change of roles here now." She backed away, pulling the blade out, laughing.

"im looking forward to seeing it, though i fear it will only be at night....im afraid of what another sunrise may do to me.... in the end i guess i will never separate myself from that part of my life..." ~She sounded hurt and ashamed of herself...as if she had failed everyone~
