The Legend of Atlantis

"Judging by the number of crew workers we have and the quality of the patches, I'd say an hour or so... why?" Orca looked a little curious.

"No reason. But I'm sure it looks funny that a pirate and a navy commander are best buds here in town." Odessa turned to him with a funny look. "And if we used your suggestion people may not believe you really are in the navy." she laughed. "Besides. Navy commanders hate pirates."

"Want me to chase you around for a while and wreak havoc? Or should we just rent a room at the Inn for a couple hours to... catch up?" Orca winked and shrugged. "Either way is good. I need to put some exercise in my leg again."

"I'm not sure about your catching up." she wants to cry inside, secretly (of course she'd love to hehe) but "What kind of havoc?" Odessa squinted intently at him, raising an eyebrow.

"Well, lets say we have a sword fight throughout town, and in the process, wreck about everything in the town before I'm victorious and lead you back onto my ship where we sail off and the Navy has to pay for the damages." Orca suggested.

Odessa laughed, "If anyone wins a fight between us two I think I know who it'd be." she pointed to herself and stood a little taller. "No need to wreck a whole town to find that out." she patted him on the shoulder.

"For one, it's my ship, and two, it's all in the theatrics, and it fits totally. We're discussing you turning yourself in, casually, and then one of us gets aggressive or you try to run, and I persue you like any man would pursue such a beautiful body."

Odessa grew speechless for a minute. Finally she spoke sternly. "You were chasing me to kill me, not to love me, kid" she backed away a little and laughed.

"I know, but truly I would have done it the other way too, if you left without warning."

"Alright." she smirked, pulled her sword and swung at him. The sword caught on his sword hoslter and she cut it off, catching it before it fell and running across the town square with both his and her swords. Finally she came to a stop in an alley hiding against the wall behind a pile of crates. Catching her breath she laughed to herself.

Orca pinned Odessa to the wall of the alley and smirked as he leaned forward. "And just what was that supposed to accomplish, we both know I move faster." He looked her over slowly and blushed, not really wanting to let go.

Odessa pushed herself as far back as possible, blushing as well, and secretly not wanting him to let go. Pushing him away she joked. "I'm suprised, even after I sunk a knife into your poor leg."

Orca had Odessa pinned to a wall, she wasnt going anywhere. "It'll heal fine, but where do you think you're going pirate? I've captured you and I will take you into custody."

"This doesn't look like much of a fight to the people around us." Odessa looked up and down the alley, not seeing anyone and shrugging. "They're going to think we made a truce. On this wall..." she paused and smiled, looked around once more. "This is much different then the last time you tried to take me in."

"Last time it was at gunpoint infront of the gallows your first mate so conveniently exploded into my chest." Orca reminded her gently as he let go, realizing that this did look very bad if someone was to walk past. "Sorry..."

Odessa hadn't really cared what people thought. Her spirits dropped as he let go. Handing him his sword back, she frowned. "I'm sorry, I was just expecting to be fighting you on my own. Maple stepped in on her own accord." she laid a hand gently on his chest. "I never liked hurting you. But a captain has to be tough and maintain composure right?" she put her sword back on her belt. "besides, I'm a pirate."

Derak grinned and moved closer. " Oh you wouldnt? And what makes you think I wont? " asked Derak

Orca shrugged. "I dont think you were ever composed." He took his sword back and strapped it on. "Shall we?"

Odessa glared and growled. "I was always composed... more so then you." she said angrily and walked past him, shoving him in the shoulder on purpose.

"Yeah. you sure look composed." Orca laughed as he followed her.

Odessa flung around and pointed a finger in his face, hesitating for words, "I.. loathe you." and she walked back to the ship.

Orca looked a little suspicious and shrugged as he kept walking, reaching her side and smirking a little. "We've still got a few hours."

Odessa ignored him and kept walking. She was determined not to let him think her less then ideal on composure. She'd held herself well for years after he'd gone. Just because he was here again didn't give her a right to break free. She sighed an angry sigh.

"I dont really see how this is my fault but okay." He shrugged and made his way back to the ship. "Your shopping's done right?"

Odessa let out a breath, "yes... why?"
